Elementary and middle school: This class is designed to be a first acting class while introducing students to more advanced ideas and techniques. Creativity, improvisation, audition techniques, public speaking, stage voice and movement, monologue and scene study, and accents are all taught in this course, as well as focus on actor preparation, creating the character, and advanced vocal and movement work. The class will work toward a presentation project at semester end. All presentations in class will contain subject matter and language that would be considered G or PG rated.
Highschool/College/Adult students:

Are you an actor that would like to obtain a skillset that can increase your “bookability” and truly set you apart? So many actors struggle with executing a British Accent proficiently WHILE trying to hang onto the accent while acting the scene? While doing scene work, many actors lose their accent or, conversely, their “acting” goes away while they are concentrating their accent work. Why not combine accent work with scene work and truly take it to another level? We have a unique – one of a kind offer for you…. Bring your acting skills and accent skills to a new level by working on acting scenes that require standard British and /or Cockney dialects WHILE gaining skills that will help you become more believable and powerful as a performer.
Most accent work is online/pre-recorded so you never have LIVE access to the accent teacher…unfortunately the teacher can’t LISTEN to you and then tweak your accent in the moment and help you nail it! This class will provide feedback, and we will make adjustments to your accent and acting work IN PERSON and in real time. You’ll learn how character choices can affect accents and how accents can affect character work.
